Looking at the various machines gyms use to pummel your back muscles into submission, I came up with a row variant that mimics one of those, yet doesn’t need more than a nice large towel:
If this version becomes too easy for you, try my advanced suspended rows at home!
Once more: DO NOT DO THIS WITH A PULL-UP BAR WEDGED INTO THE DOOR FRAME! The bar will come flying out, taking a good bit of the frame with it. At the same time you will go flying into whatever happens to be behind you.
Everything you use to do this exercise at home has to be solid enough to handle your weight: the bar, beam or hook and the towel!
