Bounce Back Abs – Save Your Money!

The Bounce Back Abs promises you to get abs in just five minutes a day – for three easy payments of $19.95 plus $14.95 shipping and handling. What you really get might be just an expensive little plastic rocking chair.

Infomercial Entertainment

The other day I was watching TV and there goes the infomercial for Bounce Back Abs, a little rocking chair that will supposedly give you a six-pack in just 5 minutes a day.

The infomercial was about 2 minutes long, but it was very hard for me to stay focused on it because I couldn’t stop laughing and thinking, “do people actually think of buying this?”  I hope not!

What Does It Do?

First of all, since 1995 there already is a similar product on the market (with similar claims), and the only real difference seems to be that it’s missing the ball that will bounce you back into place. On the Bounce Back Abs it is probably there just in case you are having a hard time bouncing by yourself.  Anyway, this is how the Bounce Back Abs is described:

  • The fast, fun and easy way to do sit-ups and crunches
  • Innovative rocker design isolates and engages abs
  • Rebounding ball proves less neck and back strain
  • Ideal for anyone, from beginners to advanced athletes

Where should I begin telling you how useless this little rocking chair probably is?  It’s a chair with a flexible ball on the back!  How much lazier are we gonna get, when there is not even a need to use your abs to bring the chair position back up? You let earth’s gravity drop you down and the ball does have the work of getting you back up!

The Bounce Back Abs chair as advertised

Some of the big red flags in any exercise equipment commercial or advertisement are the specific words “fast” and “easy”, with “fun” thrown in there just to distract you.  Don’t ever fall for these, because in most cases, nothing that comes fast and easy is worth the time or will give you the results you hope for – especially rocking back and forth in a chair to get abs!  Think about it!

Do Something That Works And Costs Less!

It might not place a strain on your neck and back, but it will surely place a strain on your wallet. For the amount of money that this piece of equipment will cost you, you can get your self a nice set of dumbbells, a jump rope and a medicine ball and do almost infinitely more exercises than with this contraption. Not to mention you will also save some space in your house.

The Bounce Back Abs is definitely ideal for anyone. Anyone who loves to use a rocking chair on their patio, that is. But not for anyone who is serious about getting in shape.

Don’t Get Trapped In Promises!

I think it’s very easy to get trapped in all those products promising you a six-pack and or big muscles in just 5 minutes a day, but you always  have to remember that real results come from real work, there are no shortcuts!

Don’t waste your money on promises, invest into real equipment you can do real work with. Because muscles have to work to become bigger, and that work takes effort, there is just no way around it. This might not be easy, but it will be worth it.
