Training your upper chest doesn’t require using dumbbells, a barbell or a bench. All you really need is a chair to do decline push-ups.

Decline Push-Ups

A little while back I did a video about doing inclined benchpresses without a bench, which helped you out if you didn’t possess a bench and wanted to target your upper chest (the clavicular head).

But what if you don’t have dumbbells? Once more, a variation of the good ole’ push-up comes to the rescue. Here it is, the decline push-up:

After Your Main Chest Exercise

As I said in the video, you may want to do them after your regular chest exercises, as that will nicely balance the work load between the stronger and then pre-exhausted main chest muscle and the smaller upper chest muscle. What you combine them with is entirely up to you: dumbbell or barbell chest presses and regular push-ups all work equally well with declined push-ups.
