How To Get The Best Workout Gloves For $2.50
Trying to get a better grip on your dumbbells? Calluses troubling you? Don’t buy expensive workout gloves! Try this low-cost solution!
Am I MacGyver Or Uncle Scrooge?
When I posted the video about my improvised dip belt, someone said I’m the “MacGyver of weightlifting.” That gave me a good chuckle, but all I’m doing is trying to find the most effective solution for the least amount of money.
Or maybe it’s just the “Mac” part that’s right and I’m as cheap as common stereotype depicts Scots.
But on this occasion here I did spend money and was disappointed. Only then I came up with a better solution:
Where To Buy These Gloves
Don’t get the textile gardening variety – it should be gloves made from split leather! They’re available at just about any home improvement store and even Wal-Mart. If you’re too plain lazy to leave the house or live where the mail is still delivered by horse, Amazon naturally carries them as well.
If you’re in Europe, check for Aldi’s or Lidl’s home improvement / DIY specials coming up in the next weeks. That’s where I got mine – two pairs for €4.

lol! How did you know I needed new workout gloves!
I also have a pair of speed bag/heavy bag gloves from Everlast that I got years ago. I recently bought their newest version. They were crap! Too thin with a skinny plastic internal bar to grip. My old ones had a thick metal bar. One word— Duct tape! lol!
I am going to get what you suggest for workouts, but I might cut the fingers off a little.
Yep, it seems newer workout gloves’ basic right for existence is to look nice.
Cutting off the fingers could be a good idea. I never thought about it!
