Overhead lunges are really simple, but simple doesn’t mean not difficult.

You should have had some practice doing lunges, because otherwise you’ll have more problems keeping your balance than is good for you. Even if you are seasoned it will be a challenge:

Alternatives To A Dumbbell

Of course, the exercise also works with a barbell, just a plate or even a book – basically anything you can safely hold over your head. I just used the dumbbell because I find it’s a handy piece of equipment to do overhead lunges with.
