i have been taking pre jym which has whooping 300mg of caffeine (raspberry lemmonade) its been fine till now…but this article has freaked me out

At school here in Germany we were taught British English. When I later went to school in the US and sat in a class, I promptly asked the guy in front of me for a “rubber” instead of an “eraser.”

In reply to Kim. They at least should know how powerful caffeine is. The only thing that makes it comparatively safe to have in our daily coffee is the comparably little amount. We, after all, already saw some deaths from high caffeine energy drinks.

Wow! Back when I was 15 or so, I was very close to buying powdered caffeine. I had read that some people put it in hot water and drank it instead of coffee. I thought it was a pretty cool idea.

I have the hunch that teen me would have put a teaspoon in the cup and experience some really bad consequences.

Luckily I forgot about the idea.

I found out how dodgy caffeine can be many years ago, when revising for exams and staying up all night. I took caffeine pills and was drinking strong black coffee non stop. About 3 in the morning the furniture started dancing round the room and I had panic attacks and heart palpitations. I haven’t really touched coffee since!
