On another note, many people talk about cutting carbs when losing weight, is this something you did too or did you simply count calories and obv just eat healthy?

No, I would still use "moderate" and then check if the weight loss is more or less than you expect. "Heavy" would be more likely if you also have a very physically demanding job.

[...] I lost another kg and my focus has lifted to get to my goal weight of 60 by my birthday in the first week of September. My partner found an interesting site that I poked around in a bit and found a BMR and TCEE calculator to see how many calories I should be having per day. Quite interesting to know my BMR is 1200 calories. I wonder how many people are going too low for their own BMR and TCEE…. Anyway, here’s the link: http://evilcyber.com/losing-weight/how-to-lose-weight/ [...]

Heah Bara, first of all congrats to the lost 16 kg! Great achievement already!

Insanity is quite intensive. I'd say take the kcal number given when you use "moderate physical activity" as a starting point and then take things from there: if it makes you lose more than 1 kg / week, up the calories by recalculating them with the number you get when you use "heavy physical activity".

You can of course also start with the "heavy" multiplier (if you feel you burn a lot) and check if you lose less than 0.5 to 1 kg / week.

Hi, I just found your website and I am totally impressed by the (finally) true information about weight loss and exercise you give here, great work!
Anyway, I just recently started doing Insanity programme (2nd round) and this time I want to do it right to lose weight. My question is, what should be the multiplier in my case to my BMR? I also do walks several times a week with my dog and I am quite an active student. Insanity is made to exercise 6 days a week, however, I do it 4 or 5 times tops. I wouldn't like to undereat. I am 23, 168cm, 69kg, around 30% body fat. Have lost already 16kg over the last 20 months. Thanks a lot for any sort of response!
