Humans became well adapted to a life of feast or famine long ago.

The dietary difficulty with yo-yo dieting is real but it is in our minds.

I always found it interesting that the field of psychology didn’t come into existence until “we” had too much free time on our hands, lol!

I think another factor is that something that was done in the past is not remembered accurately. It was probably just as hard to lose before but much of the struggle has been forgotten.

In my case it was easier only because my boss at the time was a real jerk and he said he was doing better than I was on his weight loss. The thought of him beating me was very inspiring. Too bad I don’t work for him any more, but on the other hand he was hard to work for.
