Fast Food Ads and Reality
Who can say no to the occasional burger? But have you ever wondered why the burger you get at your favorite fast food joint looks so strikingly different from the one you saw in the advertisements and commercials? Meet make-up artists for food.
As you can see, the clip is pretty old (from the 1989 television series “Buy Me That”), but the same tricks are still applied by advertising agencies today.
The worst friction between advertisement and reality I ever experienced was a cheeseburger that was so flat it almost looked like it had been run over by a car.

Wow, I didn’t know this!
Interesting, isn’t it?
Very interesting, not so much of a surprise though 😛
Before I saw the video I was aware that something like this was going on, but I didn’t know how far they are taking it.
I hear Haagen-Dazs wastes a ton of ice cream for a minute commercial video. So I’m surprised why people scream when Scooby says he throws yokes away. Why not at fast food commercial!!!
I hope this food make up artist won’t lose her job. And also hope her beauty isn’t made up artificially 😉
Judging from her limited ability of facial expressions I’m afraid there might have been some help 😉
