Is Skipping A Meal Before Your Workout Bad?
You’re in a hurry, can’t get a meal before your workout, but still want to push some heavy iron? Is that ok?
So Much To Do, So Little Time!
There’s an ideal world where we all manage to plan our time and allot enough of it for each of our activities.
Sleep 8 hours, chew each bite 30 times, brush our teeth 2 minutes twice a day and take “just” 15 daily minutes to learn a new language.
In that world we also always eat something an hour before our workouts, to have sufficient amounts of energy.
In reality, as we all know, it often doesn’t happen that way. Or, as a famous general once said, the best laid plans are moot once the actual fighting starts.
But what happens when you do your workout after having skipped a meal?
That Banana Before The Workout…
As I linked above and hinted in the video, one of the greatest pre-workout meals is a banana. They come in their own packaging and stay nice for a long time when you store them cool and out of the sun. Best of all, you can take them just about anywhere.
Having one around often saved my bacon (so to speak, ahem).

Great advice!
I’m bad about skipping meals if I know I’m going to work out – that is the main reason I like to workout first thing in the morning!!
