The Best Cheap High Protein Snack Out There
Are you buying expensive protein bars for your protein on the road? How about a guilt-free cheap high protein snack instead?
$1 For 30 G Protein
I just checked the price for the bestselling protein bar over at Amazon, which came out as $2.08 per bar.
But one of those bars has only 20 g protein, meaning you need one and a half to get 30 g.
$3.12 for 30 g of protein? How about $1? And with no artifical flavorings, colourings etc. to boot?
If you follow my workout meal plan from over here, this is an ideal snack addition to it. Just remember that the calories from the pork rinds have to be accounted for, protein or not.
Not For Everyone?
Again, I’ll be the first to admit that pork rinds aren’t for everyone. I was introduced to them via my girlfriend and my first thought about eating pork skin was: that’s revolting. And if you are Jewish or Muslim or follow a vegan lifestyle, then it’s out of bounds because of religious or ethical reasons.
In that case I still have a solution for you: here are some of my favorite high protein chicken sandwich ideas and here are my tips for vegan bodybuilders.

I never actually considered pork rinds, but then they were banned in the house when I was little. Those, “hot fries”, and fruit gushers were banned. No reason why. They just were. I think I’ll try them eventually.
My mom thought them yuck (which may explain why I had the feeling), so when I was a kid we never had them too.
